KINGSFORD — Jerry Hicks Sr. and Joy (Johns) Hicks will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today with family and friends.

The couple was married July 22, 1967, at the Old Stone Church in Cleveland, the second church built within the city. It is also the oldest building on Public Square.

The wedding party consisted of four bridesmaids, four groomsmen, a flower girl and a ring bearer. The couple honeymooned in Miami.

They have one son, Jerry Jr.
