The Dickinson?County Area Band and Community Chorus will host their “Music Under the Stars” concert at 7 p.m. Sunday at Lake Antoine Park in?Iron?Mountain.

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson Area County Band and the Dickinson County Community Chorus will perform for their “Music Under the Stars” concert at 7 p.m. Sunday at Lake Antoine Park in Iron Mountain.

There is no charge for the concert.

Attendees will need to supply their own lawn chair or blanket. Everyone is also welcome to have a picnic supper while you enjoy the concert.

The concert will be held rain or shine, so bring an umbrella.

“If we should have to postpone due to severe weather we will announce it in the media,” said director of DCCC Crystal Hogan.

The Dickinson County Community Chorus has been in existence for 51 years. The group has a long standing standard of excellence in choral music. The summer concert is under the direction of Crystal Hogan and accompanied by Janice Van Gasse.

This summer the chorus is made up of 32 exceptional voices who are dedicated to making this concert excellent and upbeat. The group consists of a few charter members as well as many returning and some new members.

This summer’s program is entertaining and familiar. Everyone will be able to sing along with some of the songs — from a patriotic medley of songs to songs from “The Music Man.

“You don’t want to miss this event. It’s more than a concert; it’s a bit of Americana complete with the view of the park, lake and sunset,” said Hogan.
