EAGLE RIVER, Mich. — Gitche Gumee Bible Camp will host its annual men’s retreat again this year, along with a somewhat new women’s event.

The men’s retreat will be Saturday, April 21, at the Gitche Gumee Bible Camp in Eagle River, with Merlyn Jones, Bible teacher and pastor of more than 45 years, as the speaker. The theme of the retreat is “The Blessed Man.” The day will begin with registration and breakfast from 9 to 10:15 a.m. and will end at approximately 3:45 p.m.

This year, the camp is excited to host a new Friday night women’s event on April 27, with Rachel Barrentine, award-winning speaker and songwriter, as the Bible teacher and musician.

The event will be at the Siskiwit Reception Hall in Calumet. The evening will begin with registration and appetizers from 6 to 6:30 p.m. and will end around 9:30 p.m.
