Golden K program to feature Pine Mountain Ski Tournament

KINGSFORD — The Dickinson area Golden K ended the year 2018 with a wonderful Christmas party for the special needs children of the Dickinson County area.
The first meeting of the new year for Golden K will be Monday, featuring a program about the upcoming 80th anniversary of the Pine Mountain Ski Tournament on Feb. 8-10 and the FIS preparations for this local international ski jump event.
It also will include updates on renovations happening at Pine Mountain Resort, Timberstone and Four Seasons Club. The Kiwanis Ski Club will be represented by Lennie Walters. Speaking for Pine Mountain Resort will be Mike Cameron, general manager of the resorts. The Ski Club and Pine Mountain Resort cooperate in many ways in preparations for and during the Pine Mountain Ski Tournament.
The GK Club welcomes visitors and new members to the meetings from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Presbyterian Church on Hamilton Avenue in Kingsford.
The Golden K singers, known as the Golden Throats, will perform at 2 p.m. Wednesday at ManorCare in Kingsford. New singers are welcome if they enjoy singing golden oldies.
