The Northwoods Readers book club gathered to celebrate Christmas in the fireplace room at Young’s in Iron River. They enjoyed lunch and a discussion, led by Bonnie Wilgreen of Iron River, of the classic book “Animal Farm” by George Orwell. A Forest Park Middle School reading program was selected as the recipient of the annual $75 Christmas cash gift. Wilma Kallies, a member of Northwoods Readers, was to deliver the gift to the middle school staff to be used for books for the program.
