Parkinson group meets

KINGSFORD — The Parkinson Society, a support group for Parkinson’s patients, caregivers, family and friends, will meet Thursday at First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall on Hamilton Avenue in Kingsford.

Social time will start at 10 a.m., followed by general announcements and a program.

This month will feature Dr. Kerry Colenso Niebrzydowski of Radiant Natural Health Clinic in Niagara, Wis. She will focus on acupuncture and other natural therapies, such as homeopathies and Chinese herbs, as alternative treatment for Parkinson’s disease patients.

Discussion time will come after the program for those who have questions about these alternative therapies. Coffee and snacks also will be available.
