IRON MOUNTAIN — The monthly meeting of the Northwoods Philatelic Society stamp club will be 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Fellowship Room at First Lutheran Church, 1210 S. Stephenson Ave. behind Slumberland Furniture in Iron Mountain.

There will be a short business meeting, a brief educational program and the usual informal stamp club auction. Members are encouraged to bring up to five lots for the auction, and the club also will auction lots of recently acquired stamps.

The club promotes the fun and fellowship of stamp collecting and is comprised of folks from both Michigan and Wisconsin. It is open to students as well as adults. Collectors range from very new to sophisticated. Membership is free, and the only requirement is a desire to learn about stamp collecting. The meetings are fun and informal, and everybody is welcome.
