Iron River — Aspirus Iron River Hospital will offer “Don’t Have a Stroke!” a free Aspiring Women girls’ night out event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Young’s in Iron River.

“Don’t Have a Stroke” will feature Aspirus Iron River emergency physician Dr. Kristin Fontes, who will review the alarming facts about strokes in women, including prevalence, warning signs, symptoms and risk factors. Women can learn strategies that prevent up to 80 percent of strokes, as well as current treatment options.

This event will include free appetizers, a signature cocktail, door prizes, the opportunity to ask questions and an Aspiring Women gift.

Attendance is free, but advance registration is required, as space is limited.
