IRON MOUNTAIN — The 85th annual Senior Girls Tea is planned at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at Pine Grove Country Club in Iron Mountain. The event is hosted by the Iron Mountain-Kingsford General Federation of Women’s Clubs.

Senior girls from Iron Mountain and Kingsford high schools receive invitations to attend this special event.

Members of the Women’s Club look forward to hosting this tea each year and sponsor several fundraisers to make the “silver tea” as elegant as possible.

The afternoon program will include music, a guest speaker and a light tea luncheon with coffee and tea poured from silver tea services. Names also will be drawn for door prizes.

This is a tradition for the local community and is a memorable day for students, said Pam Edens, GFWC member.

Admission to the event is by invitation only.
