IRON MOUNTAIN — The Transformation Band is back by popular demand and will perform at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 11, at the historic Braumart Theatre in Iron Mountain.

The Transformation Band was created five years ago and is comprised of members of First Presbyterian Church worship team in Kingsford. The band joins the worship team in Sunday morning services, as well as playing other events in the area during the year.

The band enjoys playing a wide range of music genres but keeps worship music as the focus.

John Jamar plays acoustic and electric guitars. Josh March adds bass guitar and trumpet and Paul Schuiteman plays bass, tenor saxophone and keyboard. Shelton Span adds his percussion skills to the group as well as trumpet. Crystal Hogan contributes piano, percussion, mandolin, banjo and acoustic guitar. Lauren March adds piano and percussion. Lorna March, band manager, provides acoustic guitar and trumpet. All members bring vocals to the mix.

The band will offer a variety of gospel and inspirational tunes as well as several classic rock and pop tunes, including songs by The Steve Miller Band, Jackson Brown, The Eagles, Carole King, and the Beatles, just to name a few.

“There’s something for everyone at their concerts,” Braumart Theatre Executive Director Jinx Brew said.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students 18 and younger; children 5 and younger will not require a ticket. Tickets are available online at the Braumart website, www.braumart.org; at the Braumart Box Office from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday; and at the door.

Braumart doors open one hour before every event.
