Dickinson County Senior Project FRESH dates set

IRON MOUNTAIN — Senior Project FRESH/Market FRESH will offer free coupon vouchers to eligible older adults to get Michigan-grown fruit, vegetables, herbs, spices and honey from farmers markets and roadside stands.

Along with the coupons, eligible individuals will get information on healthy eating and supplemental handouts.

To qualify for the coupons, individuals must be at least 60 years old, live in Dickinson County and have a total household income at or less than 185 percent of the poverty level.

That means a household of one cannot exceed $22,459 annually or

$1,872 monthly. A household of two cannot exceed $30,451 annually or $2,538 monthly.

Senior Project Fresh will be at these locations in Dickinson County on these dates —

— Wednesday, noon, Felch Senior Center;

— Thursday, 4 p.m., Breen Senior Center;

— June 26, 1 p.m., Norway Senior Center;

— June 27, 11 a.m., Sagola Senior Center;

–June 27, 2 p.m., Iron Mountain Senior Center.
