Exotic animals at the library on June 26

Home Tweet Home, 1 to 2 p.m. at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

Kids of all ages can get crafty at this storytime session that includes building their own bird house out of recycled materials. Snacks such as Ants on a Log and drinks will be provided. Registration is required; call 906-774-1218 to register. Attendance is capped at 20 children. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Sunday

Summer Space Cinema, 1:30 p.m. at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

Keep cool during the hot days of summer by watching movies at the library. Each Sunday will feature a different, space-themed film. All movies will be rated G, PG, or PG-13, so the whole family can enjoy them together. The last screening of each month will offer a sensory-friendly atmosphere. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Monday

Twinkle, Twinkle Little Science, 1 to 2 p.m. at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

Discover what makes the stars twinkle and why we have night and day while playing with erupting moon dust. For children in pre-school through second grade. Sponsored by Norway Eye Care and Lake State Land Surveying, Inc.

Tuesday

Teen Iron Chef, 1 and 6 p.m. at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

In this program inspired by the television show “Iron Chef,” kids ages fourth grade and older will be tasked with creating delicious dishes incorporating a secret ingredient. All three sessions require pre-registration to attend, with each session capped at 20 participants. Registration opens Monday. Sign up at the circulation desk or call 906-774-1218. Twinkle, Twinkle Little Science, 1 to 2 p.m. at the Solomonson Branch Library in Norway.

Thursday, June 20

Out to Launch at Out to Lunch, 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. in the parking lot across from the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

The library will provide fun, space-themed crafts for children to make while listening to the various musicians at the Out to Lunch concert series. They will be at a table near the stage. For all ages. Sponsored by Edwards Automotive.

Teen Iron Chef, 1 p.m., at Norway City Hall, 915 Main St. in Norway.

Painting Galaxy Rocks, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

Decorate rocks with a special paint to create out-of-this world works of art. For high-schoolers and adults. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Friday, June 21

Bergonzi Trio, 2 p.m., at Norway City Hall, 915 Main St. in Norway.

Enjoy the sounds of the violin, cello and piano, courtesy of the Bergonzi Trio, made up of Scott Flavin, Ross Harbaugh and Lindsay Garritson and part of the Pine Mountain Music Festival. This special afternoon concert is sure to delight and entertain listeners of all ages. Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Library.

Storytime Stars: Aliens, 10:30 a.m. at the North Dickinson Branch Library in Felch Township.

Tuesday, June 25

Directed Discussions, 10 a.m. to noon at the North Dickinson Branch Library in Felch Township.

This is an opportunity to speak with library Director Megan Buck in an open forum. Stop by to say hello and bring questions, suggestions, or concerns regarding library services. No appointment is necessary.
