ICMCF fundraising event Aug. 3

CRYSTAL FALLS — The Iron County Medical Care Facility Auxiliary is actively recruiting vendors interested in securing a booth for their annual fundraiser Flea Market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, inside the new covered pavilion at the facility.

The group has moved its event from Bass Festival weekend to Fungus Fest weekend in Crystal Falls. Vendors of all types are invited to call and secure a 12-by-12-foot space, as the event can fill up quickly.

The auxiliary does its fundraising by charging a $20 non-refundable fee, with the vendor responsible for all setup and display items. There also will be a drawing for a handmade quilt at the end of the sale. Tickets will be available up until the selection.

“The past several years has been a success, but there were some conflicting sales going on the same time last year and we hoped that by changing our time, we would entice more vendors to take part” treasurer, Stacy Donati said. “We invite all kinds of vendors and hope to see a good turnout. Protection from the weather and onsite electricity are a few of the benefits of using the new pavilion.”

Food will be available on the grounds. The Fungus Fest brings many visitors to the county, as well as for vacations, reunions and camping.

To secure a spot, call the facility at 906-874-1501 or 906-874-1138. Questions may be directed to Stacy Donati or Jessica Schultz
