Spinning Spools donates quilts

The Spinning Spools Quilt Guild recently donated 20 quilts, an afghan and receiving blankets to the Walk of Life Pregnancy Services in Iron Mountain. The Quilt Guild donates to several non-profit organizations throughout the local area. The Walk of Life Pregnancy Services is a pregnancy care center that is designed to help women regardless of race, religion, age, income or marital status. Their purpose is to give mothers the opportunity to earn the items they need for their babies while learning valuable information about pregnancy and parenting. Some of their services, which are free and confidential, includes pregnancy tests, support, and information and education on fetal development, parenting, adoption and pregnancy. From left are Carol Schell, Linda Kovar, Walk of Life Director Shari Wery, Sue Neyrinck, Pat Brown, Marilyn Houston and Hazel Satterly. Not shown are guild members Cyndi Ferguson and Rose Kaetzel. Walk of Life is at 1018 Cedar Ave. in Iron Mountain. Wery can be reached at 906-774-5683.
