Women’s Giving Circle grants available
MARINETTE, Wis. — The Women’s Giving Circle, a committee of the M&M Area Community Foundation, is accepting grant applications.
The WGC funds projects and programs that address issues directly affecting women and girls throughout Marinette and Menominee counties.
Applications can be submitted online at mmacf.org. The final deadline is noon July 31.
Grants will be awarded on Sept. 19 at the Women’s Giving Circle grant award ceremony and annual meeting at University of Wisconsin-Green Bay-Marinette campus. The event includes refreshments and a presentation of the Queen Marinette Award.
The Women’s Giving Circle began in 2008, when an anonymous donor made a gift to the foundation to support women’s philanthropy. Since 2009, the Women’s Giving Circle has awarded more than $61,000 to non-profits, schools, churches and government entities.
The Women’s Giving Circle is inclusive and currently lists more than 120 members. Its motto is “Empowering the women of today to create a better tomorrow.”
