Lunch and Learn series continues

FLORENCE, Wis. — The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Florence County will have its Lunch and Learns series at all four of the meal site locations starting next week and extending through November.

The public is invited to enjoy lunch while learning ways to stay healthy and safe.

Upcoming scheduled topics include —

— Wednesday: Florence Community Center, 11:30 a.m. lunch, topic is fall prevention and balance, with presenter a physical therapist from Bellin.

— Wednesday, Aug. 28: Fence Town Hall, noon lunch, topic is basic first aid and emergency preparedness, with presenter Florence County Health Department.

— Thursday, Sept. 12: Tipler Town Hall, noon lunch, topic is energy assistance program, with presenter Florence County Human Services.

Reservations are required for lunch and should be made 48 hours in advance. A $4 donation is suggested for the meal for age 60 and older, while those younger than 60 must pay the $7 full cost.

To make reservations or for more information on the presentation or menu for that day, contact the ADRC by calling 715-528-4890, or visiting the office at 501 Lake Ave, lower level of the Florence County Courthouse.
