Morning of Reflection set

VULCAN — St. Barbara’s Women’s League of Vulcan invites all women and teen girls of the area to join for a Morning of Recollection on Saturday, Oct. 20.

This event will begin with Mass at 8 a.m., but attendees may also meet in the church hall at 9 a.m., where a breakfast buffet will be served.

This will be followed by musical selections featuring Jen Alwine.

The morning will conclude with guest speaker the Rev. Michael Kowalewski, the newest priest of the diocese, who will address the “Woman’s Vocation in the Modern World,” as seen through the essays of St. Edith Stein, also known as St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross.

Cost of the meal is $8. Tickets must be purchased in advance by Oct. 15. No tickets will be sold at the door.

Tickets will be available in the vestibule of the church before the weekend Masses, at U.P. Health in the Anderson Building in Norway, or at St. Mary’s parish office on Norway Street in Norway.

Tickets also can be obtained by calling 906-563-9408 or 906-563-8749.
