ADRC hosts Medicaid Estate Planning workshop

FLORENCE, Wis. — Wisconsin Judicare attorneys will return Tuesday, Oct. 15, to present on Medicaid estate planning for the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Florence County.

The workshop will be at two locations: from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Florence Utilities Conference Room in Florence; and from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Woodland Café at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Aurora, Wis.

Gloria Hand and Calvin Dexter of Wisconsin Judicare will be the attorneys presenting. Wisconsin Judicare is a non-profit law firm out of Wausau, Wis.

In July, Hand gave a presentation on estate planning and was asked to return to speak specifically about how to plan for long-term care Medicaid. This workshop will provide an overview of Medicaid eligibility, what divestment is and the look back period for Wisconsin, spousal impoverishment, estate recovery and the basics of estate planning for long-term care.

To register for this free session, call the ADRC at 715-528-4890, or stop by the ADRC office between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays in lower level room 125 of the Florence County Courthouse, 501 Lake Ave., Florence, Wis.
