ESCANABA — The outdoor movie event and fundraiser for the Bay College Food Pantry is set for Wednesday. The event originally was planned for Oct. 17.

Because of frigid temperatures, the event will be moved to Bay College room 952 in the Joseph Heirman Center. The showing will be at 7 p.m. Eastern time.

Co-sponsors, the Bay College Film Series and Northern Sun Winery, will be showing the cult classic “Moonrise Kingdom.” Says Food Pantry Coordinator Jill Martin, “We will continue our outdoor theme inside, so bring your lawn chairs, blankets, pillows.” Other seating will be provided.

“Popcorn and soda are part of the ticket price,” film series coordinator Nanci Love said. Those older than 21 also will get a coupon for two free wine tastings from Northern Sun.

Proceeds will support the Bay College Food Pantry, which operates in conjunction with Feeding America, a nonprofit network of food banks across the country.
