Library plans Countdown to Noon

Crystal Jacklovitz, early elementary/literacy specialist at the Dickinson County Library, prepares for the Countdown to Noon program set for 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, at the main library in Iron Mountain.

Upcoming events at the Dickinson County Library include:

Thursday, Dec. 19

— Directed Discussions, 9 to 11 a.m. at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

This is an opportunity to speak with Library Director Megan Buck in an open forum. Bring questions, suggestions or concerns regarding library services. No appointment is necessary.

Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 24-25

— All Dickinson County Library sites will be closed for the Christmas holiday. Regular hours will resume Thursday, Dec. 26.

Tuesday, Dec. 31

— Countdown to Noon, 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

Children ages 3 to 8 can celebrate the beginning of 2020 a little early with a countdown to noon at the library. Festivities will include crafts, a photo booth and refreshments.

— The Iron Mountain and Solomonson sites of the Dickinson County Library will close at 12:30 p.m. for New Year’s Eve, while the North Dickinson Branch will be closed all day. All sites will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 1, for New Year’s Day. Regular hours will resume Thursday, Jan. 2.
