AMBERG, Wis. — The annual meeting of the Amberg Historical Society will be 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Amberg Community Center.

Along with the election of officers and other usual business, there will be a discussion about new exhibits and some interesting historical insights.

This will be the society’s first meeting since October 2019 — a long stretch of inactivity due to the COVID-19 issue. The museum was not open at all last season except by special request. Few of the planned maintenance and upgrade projects were completed.

Health and other issues have caused the group to lose several of their very active and contributing community members/friends. They are woefully short of guides and will have to limit the hours for the museum to open for the 2021 season.

The meetings are open to anyone who has an interest in helping to preserve the Amberg Story.
