WABENO, Wis. — The Friends of Wabeno recently announced its first Historic Wabeno Art Challenge, open to anyone who would like to create an original piece of artwork showcasing Wabeno’s history and culture. Applications are due May 15.

All creations will be displayed at the Wabeno Logging Museum over the summer. There will be awards, and an opportunity for the artists to sell their work. The challenge will conclude at the annual Wabeno Art & Music Festival on Aug. 7.
