Photographer Kristina Behrens, musician, composer Vicki Logan at Art for All event

IRON MOUNTAIN — The 54th annual Art for All sale will take place rain or shine from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at City Park in Iron Mountain.

The show will feature artists from Wisconsin, Michigan and Illinois offering works in jewelry, photography, painting, wood, metal and more.

Kristina Behrens is an artist specializing in photography featuring the beauty of the Northwoods, unique highlights from various travels and nature.

She developed an interest in photography and art at an early age but honed her skills on a solo trip to Iceland in 2014. Her mission is to capture the beauty of Mother Nature’s own artistic compositions and be able to share these fleeting moments in time with others as lasting creations.

Behrens is now based in Marquette, and has work available at Madgoodies Studio in Marquette. She previously sold her work at a gallery in New Jersey and at an arts and crafts fair in Manistique.

Her works for display and purchase include matted and framed (Giclee and metallic-style prints) and vibrant, ready-to-mount prints on aluminum.

Vicki Logan is an accomplished composer/musician, born in Escanaba who grew up in Rapid River. She graduated from Northern Michigan University with a degree in graphic design. Her family’s roots run deep throughout the U.P. Her great-grandparents were state Sen. Phillip Rahoi and Elsie Rahoi, who lived in Iron Mountain, and she has many relatives still living in the area.

Logan composes what she likes to call “cinematic, electronic instrumentals.”  The music is positive in nature and very relaxing.  She taught herself piano and uses synths and other electronics to create loops and sounds as “backing” for melodies she performs with a variety of different instruments.

Logan started this journey in 2000. Her first album was “Chasing Dreams.” After releasing her second album, “Finding My Way,” things began moving fast, as that album was listed in NAR’s Top 100 Chill Albums of 2003.

Her third album, “The Ride,” was another huge accomplishment.

During the next several years, Logan worked in and around the music industry and traveled throughout the country. She released several more albums, all of which made it onto the NAR Top 100 lists and her 2018 album, “Sound Paintings,” featuring Native American flutes, was nominated for Best Native Album of 2018 in the U.K. with One World Music.

Lately, Logan is performing mainly for retirement communities, assisted living homes and hospitals as a way of giving back and helping people through music therapy, but occasionally she can be found at arts and crafts fairs and various health and wellness festivals throughout the Midwest.

Logan, Behrens and many other artists will be featured at Iron Mountain City Park on Saturday.

Bishop Baraga Knights of Columbus 1585 will provide food for the event, which also will feature live entertainment and a silent auction to generate funds for local art student scholarship.

The event is free to the public.

Each adult attending will have a chance to win $50 to be spent at the show, with raffle drawings at 11 a.m. and 1 and 2 p.m.
