Auditions announced for ‘A Christmas Carol’

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson County Community Theatre will have auditions for “A Christmas Carol” at 6 p.m. Wednesday and 1 p.m. Sunday at DCCT’s Blue Building at 704 Skidmore Drive in Kingsford.

The auditions are open to anyone. DCCT is looking for actors with experience or newcomers to the stage. Players from young children to senior adults are needed.

“You may be asked to read from a script. The Dickens’ characters we all know and love are looking for you to make them come alive again. The skinflint Scrooge, the hardworking Bob Cratchit, the Marley, the Christmas ghosts, the merry Mr. Fezziwig and loveable Tiny Tim–they and all the characters we have known from ‘A Christmas Carol’ await your portrayal,” the DCCT’s Mark C. Miller said.

“A Christmas Carol” will be presented on stage at the Braumart Theatre the weekend of Nov. 19-21.

Stewart Boyles will be director for the production. Stewart and all of DCCT look forward to an exciting cast that will make DCCT’s “A Christmas Carol” a holiday tradition in Dickinson County.
