Stamp club meets Tuesday

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Northwoods Philatelic Society stamp club will have its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the fellowship room at First Lutheran Church, 1210 S. Stephenson Ave. in Iron Mountain. The church is between Domino’s Pizza and Slumberland Furniture.

There will be a short business meeting, an educational program and an informal stamp club auction. Members are encouraged to bring up to five lots for the auction, and the club will also auction lots of recently acquired stamps.

The Northwoods Philatelic Society promotes the fun and fellowship of stamp collecting. The club is comprised of members from both Michigan and Wisconsin and is open to students as well as adults. Collectors range from very new to sophisticated.

Membership is free, and the only requirement is the desire to learn about stamp collecting. The meetings are fun and informal, and everyone is welcome.

Masking and social distancing will be observed. Face masks and hand sanitizer will be provided if needed.

For more information, contact Milt Wirth, secretary, at 906-774-5784 or mwirth@chartermi.net, or contact any club member.
