IRON RIVER — Grace Covenant Church will host a service of healing and lament at 6 p.m. Thursday in the lower auditorium.

The service will start with Taize music, time for sharing stories/anointing with oil and praying for each who wish to participate.

For a number of people, the Christmas season is sad due to experiencing some loss. The Taize Community is an ecumenical Christian monastic fraternity in Taize, France.

The community welcomes Protestant and Catholic Christians from around the world to gather before the Lord in silence, contemplation, kindness, simplicity and reconciliation.

The service lasts for about 30 minutes, with participants entering and departing in silence when they feel they are ready.
