IRON MOUNTAIN — Members of the First United Methodist Church in Iron Mountain have been busy making mini-pasties for their Cornish Market on Saturday, Oct. 1.

The annual event will be 9 a.m. to noon at the church.

Cornish favorites — including saffron buns, seedy buns, Cousin Jack cookies, potato cake and the mini-pasties — will be available for sale.

In addition, other types of baked goods such as cookies, bars, pies and breads will also be offered.

Items will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Along with the market, a Cornish Cafe will be on site where patrons can enjoy — for a small fee– a slice of one-crust apple pie with scalded cream and a cup of coffee or tea.

The church is at 106 Fourth St. in Iron Mountain, across from the Hardee’s restaurant.
