Pam and Howard Smith of Florence, Wis., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kim, to Jeremy Adolphson of Rockford, Ill. Both the bride and groom are doctoral graduates of University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. They currently live in De Pere, where Kim is an assistant professor of communication and media studies at St. Norbert College and Jeremy is a lecturer in the department of communication and information sciences at UW-Green Bay. Kim is the granddaughter of Richard and Karen Wertanen and the late Howard and Arlene Smith, all of Florence. Jeremy is the son of Jim and Diane Adolphson and grandson of Fred and Berneta Adolphson and Barb Felton, all of Rockford. The wedding and reception will be in De Pere on Sept. 20, 2019.
