NWTC to host free webinar on how to start a food business
AURORA, Wis. — Have you ever thought about starting a food business but are not sure where to begin? Do you have an idea for a food truck or maybe someone has begging you for your secret recipe?
Northeast Wisconsin Technical College is sponsoring a free webinar, “How to Start a Food Business,” from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 7.
Participants can learn the basics of running a successful food business, including licensing, processing, packaging, marketing and distribution.
Each session will be presented by an expert in the field, followed by a period for questions.
The final presentation will feature the owner of a very successful food business in Wisconsin who started small and now is an international success.
“Many people are overwhelmed with the steps needed to become a food entrepreneur,” said Sally Miller, manager of the Woodland Kitchen and Business Incubator in Aurora. “This event is a great opportunity to have someone to guide you through the process and navigate feasibility without investing a lot of money before even getting started.”
