IRON MOUNTAIN –The Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce recently had a ribbon-cutting to celebrate Anytime Fitness becoming a member and welcome new owners Marvin and Jayne Szukalowski to the area.

“So my wife and I officially became members of your amazing community in early January 2020. We started the year out with a bang … then the world got shot down to the ground,” Marvin Szukalowski said.

“COVID didn’t take away our wind … it gave us breath. Jayne seized the days ahead and focused where it mattered most … on the self. When the world was stranded, she expanded.”

The business survived through community support, he said. In turn, the Szukalowskis expanded the facilities “by again as much as the original space,” Marvin Szukalowski said.

“We’ve enhanced the vision of fitness with that we truly believe, ‘Exercise is a movement for EVERYbody,” he said.

Anytime Fitness can provide small-group experiences and a socially distanced variety of workouts delivered by a quality coach.

Anytime Fitness also offers many tools and modern to new equipment, as well as state-of-the-art cardio machines that can be synced to personal devices.

“If you want to watch Netflix, you can from your treadmill,” Marvin Szukalowski said.

In addition, Anytime Fitness has Evolt body scans, a 2-minute, 30-point customized fitness evaluation.

They have MyZone fitness tracking as well, which Marvin Szukalowski says is the most accurate — 96.6% — heart-monitoring system on the market. It’s worn near the heart, not the wrist.

All of their equipment is non-intimidating. The only question their management and trainers can’t answer is the ones not asked, Marvin Szukalowski said.

“We’ve made promises to our members that we will keep,” Marvin Szukalowski said. “Come check us out and see what we’re all about. There are no illusions, just you and us and new conclusions. Let’s make Healthy Happen Together.”

Anytime Fitness is at 1078 S. Stephenson Ave. in Iron Mountain. As the name implies, it is accessible to members 24 hours a day.
