JOHN JESSEN

IRON MOUNTAIN — John Jessen has joined the Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group out of the Iron Mountain office.

He recently retired after 29 years in the paper industry and decided to get back into real estate, having previously been a broker in Wisconsin. He operated his own real estate business in Florence, Wis., in the late 1970s into the early 1980s.

During his time in the paper industry, Jessen worked in production, quality, and the past 15 years in the sales and marketing group.

Before that he spent several years in business management and sales positions and helped organize a number of large community events and fundraising activities in this area.

Jessen and his wife, Laurie, live in Quinnesec and have two grown sons. The oldest, John, is an industrial education teacher at Westwood High School in Ishpeming. The younger son, Jay, is assistant director of the Marburger STEM Center at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Mich.
