Farmers’ Market slated Saturday

IRON MOUNTAIN – The fourth annual winter Farmers’ Market will be held on Saturday, Jan. 10.

Many of the vendors will be offering a free sample taste of what they have to offer patrons. Free coffee and hot chocolate will be available. Great Start Collaborative will be on hand helping kids with fun winter crafts. In addition, there will be free face-painting, and a drawing for a day pass to Northern Lights YMCA for children.

Dr. John Nowicki will be providing information sessions throughout the morning. There will also be a drawing for a basket filled with items from Farmers Market vendors visitors to the Market just need to stop by each of the booths, and have a card signed by each.

“We want to provide people with a fun way to check some items off their shopping lists, as well as spend a morning relaxing and visiting with friends and neighbors, as well as our vendors,” Rebecca Grider, DDA/Main Street manager.

The next indoor market will be Feb. 14.

Hosted by the Iron Mountain DDA/Main Street, the indoor winter market will continue through the second Saturday of April and run from 9 a.m. to noon at the Iron Mountain Public School’s Izzo-Mariucci Center at the intersection of West A Street and Carpenter Avenue.

The remaining dates for the Winter Farmers’ Market will be Feb. 14, March 14 and April 11.
