New law office opens in IM

IRON MOUNTAIN – The opening of Abbey Anderson Law PC in Iron Mountain was announced recently with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Anderson graduated magna cum laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing in January 2014. She was licensed in Michigan in May 2014, and in Wisconsin in September 2014.

“This ceremony is not only special to me, but to my family as well. We have worked together through my time in law school and my legal career to make this happen,” Anderson said. “My husband and I decided that I would attend law school on the weekends so we did not disrupt our children’s lives. Every weekend for almost three years, my husband and I, and our dog, traveled to Lansing for my classes.”

Anderson added that her children helped her study during the week and let her read cases to them at night instead of bedtime stories.

Abbey Anderson Law PC is focused on estate planning, trusts, real estate, business formation, and probate for Upper Michigan and northern Wisconsin clients.

“My decision to open my own office came when I found a passion for estate planning and trusts,” Anderson said. “With my family’s support and encouragement, I was able to go out on my own in September 2014 and ‘hang my shingle’ in December.”

Anderson’s office is located at 214 E. Ludington St. in downtown Iron Mountain.
