Bay Care Clinic Foundation donated nearly $260,000 in 2014

GREEN BAY, Wis. -Charitable giving from the BayCare Clinic Foundation totaled just under $260,000 in 2014, according to recently released figures.

The Foundation – established in 2000 with the goal of supporting area organizations and causes dedicated to improving health and wellness – distributed $259,621.85 to about 80 local, state and national entities in 2014 including: the Brown County United Way; the Center for Childhood Safety; Freedom House; Literacy Green Bay; and universities across the state, among others.

The Foundation’s charitable giving efforts also benefitted the BayCare Clinic Foundation Healthcare Scholarship Program which provides scholarships for area students pursuing advanced education in healthcare.

Last year also marked the second year of the Foundation’s 5-year pledge to contribute $50,000 to Northeast Wisconsin Technical College’s Educational Foundation Inc.

The funds support NWTC’s nursing and allied health professional development projects. They also support the annual BayCare Clinic Faculty of the Year award.
