MARINETTE, WIS. – The Price of Sand, a one-hour documentary on the true cost of frac sand mining by Minnesota filmmaker Jim Tittle, will be shown on the UW-Marinette campus at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, in room M-117 of the main building.

The free film will be introduced by Patricia Popple, who has worked for several years to enhance public awareness of frac sand mining in the Chippewa Falls area. A question and answer session is planned.
