Gibler receives Competent Communicator Award

IRON MOUNTAIN – The Toastmasters of the Northwoods Club has awarded their first Competent Communicator Award to charter member Maryanne Gibler.

Gibler has completed all 10 speeches in the Toastmasters International Competent Communication manual.

The 10 speech projects focused on specific areas, such as organizing the speech, using body language, getting comfortable with visual aids, persuading with power, inspiring your audience, vocal variety, etc.

The Toastmasters of the Northwoods Club congratulates Gibler on an outstanding accomplishment in the short period of time that the club has been chartered.

The Toastmasters approach encourages a relaxed atmosphere, in which both leadership and communication skills are learned and put into practice.
