IM Farmer’s Market planned Saturday

IRON MOUNTAIN – The next Iron Mountain Farmers & Artisans Market will be Saturday June 13.

The market will run from June through mid October every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.

The Market is located across from the Dickinson County Library. The market is managed Nancy Schaub together with the Farmer’s Market executive committee under the auspices of Downtown Development Association/ Main Street.

“The public is asked to refrain from being in market area before 8 a.m. to give vendors a chance to set up their products safely,” organizers said.

“Vendors will have rhubarb for sale this Saturday. In addition vendors have a good crop of greens and fresh herbs for sale,” noted Nancy Schaub, market manager.

She added that the vendors will also have live vegetable and herb plants for sale as well so the public can buy quality plants that are locally raised for their own gardens.

“We are proud to feature locally grown and produced products at our market.”

Space may still be available for those wishing to sell locally grown produce and plants. Artist and crafters producing unique products from natural or organic materials are encouraged to join other vendors at the market. The market is also open to those locally produced food products.

Vendors will no longer be accepted on site but rather will be required to submit a completed application for the Market Committee to review.

Interested farmer or artist vendors wanting to participate in the market or citizens seeking additional information, please contact the Iron Mountain Farmer’s and Artisan’s Market manager at 774-4002 or e-mail hsrhnschaub@att.net.
