IRON MOUNTAIN – The next Iron Mountain Farmers & Artisans Market will be Saturday, July 25.

The summer market is held from June through mid-October every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. It is located across from the Dickinson County Library.

The market is managed Nancy Schaub together with the Farmer’s Market executive committee under the auspices of the Downtown Development Authority/Main Street. The public is asked to refrain from being in market area before 8 a.m. to give vendors a chance to set up their products safely.

Vendors will have new potatoes for sale as well as good crop of greens, radishes, kohlrabi, fresh herb,s raspberries and mushrooms for sale, A few early zucchini and cucumbers may be available as well.

“We are proud to feature locally grown and produced products at our market. The market has a wide variety of locally made crafts available, jewelry, woven rugs, yard art, and birdhouses. Vendors sell eggs, meat, Mean Jean’s Mustard, jam, maple syrup, baked goods and in season fruit,” Schaub said.

The V.A. farmers market will be run every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Space may still be available for those wishing to sell locally grown produce and plants. Artist and crafters producing unique products from natural or organic materials are encouraged to join other vendors at the market. The market is also open to those locally produced food products.

Vendors will no longer be accepted on site but rather will be required to submit a completed application for the Market Committee to review.
