Jo Jo Siwa is coming to U.P. Dance Academy

KINGSFORD – JoJo Siwa, from the TV series “Dance Moms,” will be teaching dance workshops at U.P. Dance Academy in Kingsford on Friday, Aug. 7.

Registration is open to all ages.

The meet and greet will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

“We are excited to have JoJo at our studio to showcase her talent to our local kids. This is a great opportunity for fans and dancers alike to take a class along with a meet & greet with JoJo,” says Kathrine Trempe owner of UPDA.

Eleven-year-old JoJo Siwa was born and raised in Omaha, Neb.

Dancing since the age of two, JoJo has continued on her training in all areas of dance including, ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop and acrobatics.

In her spare time, JoJo loves shopping, taking selfies, singing and hanging out with her friends.

In 2013, JoJo became the youngest competitor on Lifetime’s “Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition.” (season 2).

Out of 12 competitors, JoJo finished in the Top 5. Learning from talented choreographers, has truly shaped who she is becoming as a dancer.

In 2014, JoJo got the call to come dance with the ALDC on the Lifetime television show, “Dance Moms.” Training with Abby and her staff has been an amazing experience for her.

U.P. Dance Academy is located at 1000 W. Breen Ave., in Kingsford.
