Farmers & Artisans Market on Saturday in downtown Iron Mountain

IRON MOUNTAIN, MI The next Iron Mountain Farmers & Artisans Market will be Saturday, Oct. 3.

The market will continue to run through Oct. 17 every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. The market is managed by Nancy Schaub together with the Farmer’s Market Executive Committee under the auspices of DDA Main Street. The public is asked to refrain from being in the market area before 8 a.m. to give vendors a chance to set up their products safely.

Produce vendors will have tomatoes, corn, pumpkins, and fall squash. “We are proud to feature locally grown and produced products at our market,” said a spokesperson. “The market has a wide variety of locally made crafts available, jewelry, woven rugs, yard art, and birdhouses. Vendors sell eggs, meat, Mean Jean’s Mustard, jam, maple syrup, honey, baked goods and in- season fruit.”

Space for weekly vendors may still be available for those wishing to sell locally grown produce and plants. The market is also open to locally produced food products.

Interested farmer or artist vendors wanting to participate in the market or citizens seeking additional information, please contact the market manager at 774-4002 or e-mail hsrhnschaub@att.net.

Anyone interested in participating in the Winter Market, which will be held indoors the second Saturday of the month from November through April from 9 a.m. to noon, should contact the market manager for more information.
