Internship gives Cornelia unique work experience

CRYSTAL FALLS – As a participant in the internship program through Ferris State University, Ana Cornelia has now joined the team at RE/MAX North Country.

“I’m excited to have this incredible opportunity in my hometown,” Cornelia said.

She grew up in Crystal Falls, graduating from Forest Park Schools in 2012. She was involved in 4-H, Job’s Daughters, and participated in volleyball, basketball, and track at Forest Park.

She also served as the president of the Forest Park Chapter of Business Professionals of America. “That is when I realized I wanted a job in business some day,” Cornelia said.

Cornelia is currently a marketing student at Ferris State. In addition to the internship with RE/MAX North Country this fall, she is also taking the necessary courses to obtain her real estate license.

Her goals for the internship program include hands-on experience and education in all aspects of the real estate business – sales, office operations, and franchise.

At the time of graduation from Ferris State University in December, she hopes to have obtained her real estate license as well as her marketing degree.

Cornelia brings a varied history of work experience with her which includes everything from county lifeguard to DNR worker.

At Ferris, she worked for the Ferris State Torch for three years as an advertising sales representative /designer.

Cornelia added that she loves the outdoors and playing volleyball. She currently assists the Forest Park High School teams.

At Ferris, she participated in Women’s Club Volleyball for three years and served as president for two years. The team traveled across the country for competitions.

“RE/MAX North Country is happy and proud to be participating in the internship program,” a spokesperson said.

During this internship experience, Cornelia will be working in both the Crystal Falls and Iron River offices during the coming months.

“I am very happy to be a part of the hometown team,” Cornelia said.
