Breast Cancer awareness campaign starts Friday at Edwards Automotive

IRON MOUNTAIN – Edwards Automotive brings Chevrolet’s #IDriveFor breast cancer awareness campaign to Dickinson County on Friday, Oct. 9.

Prior to the Iron Mountain-Kingsford game on Oct. 9, Edwards will host a 5k walk from Edwards to First Presbyterian Church on Hamilton Avenue in Kingsford. A water tent at the First National Bank & Trust’s main branch will mark the halfway point.

“We will be providing walkers with pink T-shirts and will be making a donation to the Dickinson County Cancer Loan Closet for each walker,” said Wade Edwards, vice president of Edwards Automotive. “We already have more than 100 people signed up.”

Participants receive a T-shirt and a donation made in their name. Those interested in participating can sign up at Edwards Automotive, First National Bank & Trust main branch, or Edwards website at www.edwardsgm.com/BreastCancerWalk.

A shuttle will be available from First Presbyterian Church to Edwards after the walk.

During the entire month of October, Chevrolet will donate $10 to the American Cancer Society for every test drive made at Edwards Automotive. For every social post to #IDriveFor on Twitter and Instagram from Oct. 1 – 31, Chevrolet will contribute $5 to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.
