IRON MOUNTAIN – At the October city of Iron Mountain Downtown Development meeting, Iron Mountain-Kingsford Community Federal Credit Union (IMKCFCU) received an award for its commitment to volunteering.

The IMKCFCU believes strongly in the credit union philosophy of “people helping people.” In fact, the employees and staff of the credit union regularly donate their time to various local events and charities.

“We have a lot of caring people at our credit union and we all embrace the credit union philosophy of people helping people,” noted Scott Dickman, chief executive officer.

Some of the activities the credit union has assisted, supported or donated to in 2015 include Bras for a Cause, knitting squares for Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation, Salvation Army, Zombie Run, Florence Cat Advocates, Dickinson County Childrens Theater, Tri County Horse Association, the Ritz, 100+ Women Who Care, Pies for Parkinsons, road clean-up, Almost Home Animal Shelter, Relay for Life, Barncat Buddies, Aurora Mud Run, Art for All, Italian Fest, Oktoberfest, Angel Tree Program and many more.
