Recruitment fairs set for MDOC officers

LANSING – The Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC) is authorized to hire 200 new corrections officers in 2016.

The department has a hiring need in the U.P. specifically at Baraga and Alger correctional facilities.

To help meet that goal, the department is attending recruitment fairs in Marquette and Sault Ste. Marie in October. They are on Thursday, Oct. 15, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the University Center’s Great Lake Rooms at Northern Michigan University in Marquette and on Friday, Oct. 16, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Superior Room of the Cisler Center at Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie.
