Free dentistry offered for vets on Saturday

IRON MOUNTAIN – The John Fornetti Dental Center will present its second annual Dentistry For Our Vets on Saturday, Nov. 7, at the center.

In recent years, the John Fornetti Dental Center has treated hundreds of patients donating thousands of dollars of free dental care through Dentistry From The Heart events.

In observance of this Veterans Day, Dr. John and Dr. Dan Fornetti, along with their team of employees, volunteers and sponsors will provide veterans with their choice of one free extraction, filling, or hygiene cleaning.

Registration begins Saturday, Nov. 7, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Patients will be seen on a first come, first served basis.

In 2001, Dentistry From The Heart started with New Port Richey dentist Dr. Vincent J. Monticciolo as a way to giving back to the community and provide aid to the growing number of Americans without dental insurance.

In the past 10 years, Dentistry From The Heart events have contributed more than $11 million in free dentistry and helped more than 55,000 patients across the country.

“Dentistry For Our Vets is the John Fornetti Dental Center’s way to extend the good work of Dentistry From The Heart as a way to thank our military veterans for their service,” a spokesperson said.

The dental center is located at 100 S. Stephenson Ave. in Iron Mountain.

Anyone interested in volunteering or veterans who would like to attend can find more information about the event by calling 774-0100.
