NORWAY – Rainbow Gifts & Yarn will hold its annual Christmas Open House on Friday, Nov. 27, and Saturday, Nov. 28 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days.

Owner Mary Lynn Verley said that anyone who is looking for a unique gift in a quiet, peaceful setting on the day after Thanksgiving should attend.

Clothing merchandise includes alpaca sweaters, hats, gloves, scarves, mittens, jackets, afghans, long johns, and the store’s most popular item – socks.

Rainbow Gifts also has a large inventory of Teddy bears and alpaca figures. Also on the Rainbow shelves are yarns in many price ranges.

Verley noted that Rainbow Gifts & Yarn carries much more than alpaca yarn, although it does have one of the largest selections of alpaca yarn in more than a 100-mile radius.

During the open house on Saturday, Rainbow Gifts & Yarn will be offering a free knitting class with the purchase of yarn for the class. One of the store’s knitters will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday to teach those who would like to learn how to knit the basics, or those who need a refresher class.
