New event coordinator at the DDA

AMBER PIPP

IRON MOUNTAIN — Amber Pipp has joined the Iron Mountain Downtown Development Authority as the new event coordinator and assistant manager.

Pipp is a Kingsford High School graduate who has a bachelor’s degree in health and fitness management from Northern Michigan University. She lived and worked in the Marquette area before returning to Iron Mountain with her husband, Dan, also a KHS graduate, and two young children.

“I feel this job aligns well with my background in the health and wellness field,” Pipp said. “I enjoy helping others meet their goals and be happy and healthy. I believe continuing to create a vibrant downtown does just that.”

The DDA supports growth in Iron Mountain’s historic downtown district through economic development, local grants, beautification efforts and organizing community events.

Pipp will coordinate the 2018 Brew Fest, Italian Fest and Oktoberfest events. “Amber brings energy and excitement to what we are doing throughout downtown, and I look forward to working with her to accomplish our goals,” DDA Program Director Paula Craven said.

Pipp can be contacted at her office in the Iron Mountain City Hall, 501 S. Stephenson Ave., at 906-774-8534 or by email at amber@downtownironmountain.com.
