The seven-story-tall RE/MAX balloon was in Iron Mountain on Aug. 8 to promote the new RE/MAX North Country Iron Mountain office at W8640 Collins Road. It took an hour to inflate the 57-foot-wide balloon; team pilot Jody Leatherberry and his son, Eric, then began taking children and adults up in the tethered balloon. While waiting their turn, visitors enjoyed pulled pork, smoked chicken, coleslaw and cornbread supplied by Smoklers. RE/MAX North Country settled in Iron Mountain in April and had its official opening in May. Broker/owner Danelle Dove also has offices in Crystal Falls and Iron River, with seven agents.
