IRON MOUNTAIN — Stephens Real Estate of Iron Mountain has been named the top individual real estate office for 2018, earning that distinction for the 10th year in a row, according to the Upper Peninsula Association of Realtors’ rankings of 18 area offices.

With nearly $27.3 in sales production, Stephens led the list for volume and also for sales at 252 units sold.

Celebrating a 40th anniversary in 2019, Stephens Real Estate at 1320 Carpenter Ave. in Iron Mountain is co-owned by brokers Sally Blom and Maddy Tousignant and has a team of nine full-time agents and brokers.

“Our agents show exceptional integrity, personal commitment, and social conscience, going the extra distance to do the job professionally,” the co-owners said. “And, as a result, we experience a very high rate of repeat and referral business.”

For the fifth straight year, Betsy Sawicky of Iron Mountain was named 2018’s top-selling real estate agent, according to the Upper Peninsula Association of Realtors’ rankings of 83 area agents.

An associate broker, Sawicky had the most sales with 77 units and ranked third for production with $7.05 million in volume.

Active in real estate for more than 20 years, Sawicky is a licensed agent in both Michigan and Wisconsin, has a Michigan broker’s license and has an Accredited Buyer’s Representative, or ABR, professional credential.

“I have the best job in the world. You never know what will happen when you go to work in the morning, and to me that’s very exciting,” Sawicky said.
