Boss Snowplow proceeds with IM expansion

Gundlach Champion selected as contractor; completion slated for spring of 2021

IRON MOUNTAIN – Boss Snowplow, a leader in snow and ice management, is expanding its facility in Iron Mountain.

The project will add approximately 44,000 square feet of additional manufacturing space to the existing facility, which will include a new paint line and improvements to its research and development facility to increase production capacity and support future growth.

The project is expected to begin this summer with Gundlach Champion of Iron Mountain to lead construction. It is slated to be completed by spring of 2021.

“We are investing in our Iron Mountain facility to better support ongoing product development, expand our operational capacity, and to continue to meet the needs of our customers,” said Jody Christy, vice president of Boss Snowplow. “This investment reinforces our commitment to the Iron Mountain community, and positions us to further strengthen and grow our relationships in the markets we serve.”

Boss is grateful to the city of Iron Mountain for its support during this time of growth, Christy said.

“The community support has validated this city as a great place to do business. This growth would not have been possible without the hard work and commitment of Boss’s dedicated employees to building the top snow and ice products in the industry,” he said.

With growth also comes employment opportunities. For more information go to bossplow.com.

A division of The Toro Company, Boss manufactures plows for trucks, heavy equipment, UTVs and ATVs; salt and sand spreaders; and box plows built for the snow and ice management professional, as well as the homeowner.
